Responsibilities:

1. Answer and assist customers with sales related needs whether by phone or email. Refer customer to the appropriate person when further assistance is required.
2. Write pick up or coming in tags for vacuum pumps that require service.
3. Price work orders and contact customer with detailed evaluation results. Stay in contact to get approvals and decisions. Follow up to determine and receive payment details, i.e. purchase order, credit card, or prepayment.
4. Based on condition of pump noted in the evaluation, be able to recommend additional maintenance procedures. Gather application and process details to accurately recommend the proper MV products to protect the vacuum system. Provide quotes and data sheets for said products.
5. Update and maintain weekly a vacuum pump “Priority List”. Noting such things as approval dates, parts arrival dates, expected shipping dates and payment method. Meet once a week with other departments to review and update the list.
6. As required, issue RGA (Return Goods Authorization) numbers for parts to be returned or RA (Return Authorization) numbers for possible warranty vacuum pumps.
7. Update the sales manager daily with any needs, questions, request for recommendations/formal quotes and new customer details.
8. Maintain a clean and organized work area so that you or others can find quotes or other information easily. This is particularly important if you will be out of the office for any reason.

Additional useful skills:
Prior sales/customer service experience, especially if in a technical environment.

Familiarity with Microsoft Windows 10, Adobe Acrobat, Thunderbird email, FACTS inventory control system, Google or other search engines.
